CIC Switzerland was established in Geneva in 1991. It acts as our purchasing center for the various commodities that are distributed by the Group. It also serves as the headquarters for our finance, logistics and freight, risk management and control departments.

CIC Senegal was established in the Republic of Senegal in 1996 after the liberalization of the markets and the disappearance of Caisse de Péréquation. In view of the restrictions existing on the importation of sugar, wheat flour and milk powder CIC Senegal has concentrated its activity in importation and distribution of rice and corn. We rent two warehouses from a local company totalling over 8000 M2 of warehousing surface allowing storage capacity of about 19’000MT.

CIC Cape Verde was established in the Republic of Cape Verde in 1998, as a result of the liberalization of the markets and disappearance of the state import organization EMPA.

CIC Cape Verde has been extremely active from the outset in ensuring the food security on all the islands of Cape Verde. CIC Cape Verde owns and operates warehouse facilities on three main islands where it has over 15’300 M2 of combined warehousing surface allowing storage capacity of about 60’000MT ; In Praia on Santiago island, we own a warehouse which has a storage capacity of 30’000 MT; In São Filipe, on Fogo island, we have at our disposal a storage capacity of 25’000 MT and in Mindelo, on São Vicente island, our storage capacity is of 5’000MT-

CIC Cape Verde is active in importation of rice, sugar, vegetable oils, milk powder, corn, wheat flour and tomato paste.

Cereal Investments Company (C.I.C.) Ghana Ltd.

CIC Ghana Ltd was established in 2003. The company was first based in Accra, however, after the acquisition of land and construction of warehouses and office block in Tema, the headquarters of the company was moved to Tema.

CIC Ghana has 12’100 m2 of warehousing capacity which iscurrently being used for storage of goods for local consumption in Ghana and for transit to neighbouring countries. CIC Ghana total storage capacity is of 45’000 MT. CIC Ghana is active in importation of rice, sugar and palm oil for local distribution, and is currently on the path of distributing locally produced rice.

CIC Côte d'Ivoire was first established in Ivory Coast in 1995 as result of the liberalization of the market and disappearance of the state import organization Caisse Generale de Péréquation .

CIC Côte d'Ivoire has been active in the importation of rice, sugar and milk powder. However and in view of the restrictions existing for importation of milk and sugar, over a period of time, our activity has been concentrated in importation and distribution of rice to the local wholesellers. CIC Côte d'Ivoire leases land from Port Autonome d’Abidjan in the Port Zone of Abidjan on a long term lease. On this land CIC owns 3 warehouses for a total warehouse space of 9’800 m2 giving us the total storage capacity of about 40’000 MT within the Port Zone.

CIC Niger was created early 2006 as a result of the need for stocks to be made locally available to Niger wholesalers / importers.

The office is located in Niamey. The group owns 520 m2 of warehousing surface allowing a storage capacity of about 1’820 MT.CIC Niger is involved in rice, milk and sugar distribution and participates in stocks and price regulation on the local market.

CIC Moçambique was set up in 1999 with head office in Maputo. The company is involved in import and distribution of rice, renting 1400 m2 of warehousing surface allowing storage capacity of about 4’000MT.

After a transition period within a difficult trading environment, CIC Mozambique is strengthening its position and working on extending its activities to neighbouring countries, such as South Africa, as well as to locally produced commodities.
